The thing great enough to be a full-movie sequel

I recently saw the thing about 6 months ago and hear about a thing video game and it was cheap is i decided to pick it up.

What i got in return was about 4 times my investment this game has some many great aspect beside just being a awesome shooter.

The story is 5 stars for a video game and 4 stars by hollywood standards. The story begins right where the movie left off. The military has sent another research team to find out what happen to the first team fromt he first movie. Then the story snowballs into savin the world from a new form of thing. The story has so many nice twist and turns you'll be dyin to see the next cut-scene.

The graphics are top-notch sounds it also nice and creepie.
There's flashlights for those dark areas and the lightin effects are awesomly detailed. Yhe monster graphics are very scary. The monster sounds fx are just great and are pretty scary though-out the game.
Even thought your in an artic wasteland the first few missions believe the sets get bigger and more interesting.
Also bloody and gory these beasts love to bleed everywhere.

Next comes the best and most important part the gameplay, pretty varied and easy to pick up, but not easy to master by any means. First off the cold can kill you in the fist couple of outdoor areas and later on too. Then theres the massive amount of monsters you'll have to shot and fry. Then there the 3 team members you can semi-infulence and the shape-shifting monsters(the thing) which look like team members but arent. Team members are actual living being they get scared pee there pants,puke,scream, or just plain lose it. The team members add much needed comic-relief in between the times you are killin monster and jumpin back after something pops out of the dark and scares you half to death.

Also the monster A.I. is very good they retreat to heal or ambush when they have numbers. Good A.I. is specially needed for the bigger monsters and the humans later on also have very good reactions and are very good shots.

Oh i also forgot the couple of Boss battles which are just hard and awesome at the same time. If you played ninja giaden you know the boss's are a somewhat big part the game i mean what's the fun of killing all these weaker or equal opponets you gotta slay a few dragons right. The boss are pretty hard until you try out different things of if you really get stuck go online and find some guides they help but there are no cheats to speak of so you must slay the boss all on your own.

Overall The Thing is a must have for anyone wanting ton of action, some teamwork and a awesome story to tie it all together.
