The WORST toaster I have ever owned - TOASTMASTER T2050WC

by  wyeth,   Feb 27, 2003

Pros:  It looks nice, and can hold real fat bagels or english muffins.

Cons:  TERRIBLE !! Burns, timer doesn't work right, flimsy, cheap all over, breaks easy.

The Bottom Line:  The slots for the bread/toast is wide, can fit thick pieces inside. That's about it.

TERRIBLE!!! The sides of the toaster gets very hot! (toastmaster claims that the sides are cool to the touch when in use)..... cheap flimsy handles that slide off with out warning, very bad holding mechanisms that burns one side and leaves the other side raw, the locking mechanism do not engage 75% of the time and I have to hold it down to toast. The toaster looks nice, is very inexpensive (only $20) and every store claims the normal price is $40 and higher - NOT TRUE. We bought one in December 2002 and locking mechanism was broken. We exchanged it for another one (same model). Still had problems. This is a cheap, flimsy toaster that we are throwing this piece of junk out just after 2 months of use. Going out to buy another brand. Hey, for $20 on a dual toaster...well, you get what you pay for. Spend a little more money and get a good brand. Will never buy Toastmaster again. DO NOT USE POP-TARTS in this!! Your pop-tart will touch the red hot wires, smoke like crazy, and is difficult to clean the inside.
