Rainbow6 out to kill traditional action games

Rainbow 6 was the game i've been waiting for years. The action games of the time where great but what I wanted was a first person shooter in the vein of a swat team game.
in the first mission you must save a important official from a embassy taken over by some terrorists. Before each mission starts you first have to plan out exactly how your going to complete the objectives. It's more than just your teams lives at stake so you better plan carefully! You build a team of experts, each with their expertise, advantage and disadvantages, equip them and map out their routes in the map.
The only complaints i can give against rainbow 6 is that the sound and graphics are mediocre and the planning stage takes a long time. But the wait makes it fell all the more rewarding when it works.
Even with Rainbow6's strong strategy overtones the game is extremely intense. Rainbow6 is the game for the strategist or the action gamer who wants to try something new.
