Epinions Very Pleased with Tom Tom One 3rd Ed. (US Version)

by  e927,  Feb 2, 2008
Pros: Easy to use, relatively inexpensive, and gets me where I need to go!
Cons: Short battery life, wish it came with an included carrying case
The Bottom Line: A basic model, but has everything I need and worth every penny!
Review: I've always been frustrated trying to read maps or printed directions while driving -- it's difficult to do both and easy to get lost. When I found the Tom Tom One 3rd Edition for an attractive price, it seemed like a smart investment -- and I'm now a ...

Epinions BY FAR, the EASIEST GPS Unit I've Seen or Used (3rd Ed.-U.S.)

by  kengland4,  Jan 5, 2008
Pros: Lite & small. V. readable screen. Finds services, shops, & addresses. 1 year web updates.
Cons: No bluetooth, card slot, or weather/traffic is optional. No zoom in route summary.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a compact GPS that is a CINCH and a JOY to use, even under direct sunlight, then look no further.
Review: ------------------------------ -------------------------"Disc laimer"------------------ This class of product is potentially dangerous, if not mounted in such a way that you won't be distracted while driving. I was in 2 "near-accidents," while looking...

Review: tom tom one 3rd edition is excellent. All GPS units work well on the highway when you just want to be shown the next exit to take. The 3rd edition works very well in heavy city traffic, showing you immediately what route to take. I also own a Garmin c330 ...

Epinions Good For A First Time GPS User

by  Nicky1970,  Feb 19, 2008
Pros: Pretty simple to use, straight to the point, inexpensive,
Cons: You can't erase the preset locations to open up more memory or take clutter out
The Bottom Line: A great unit for a first time buyer that wants value, without the bells and whistles such as MP3 and video player, and extra storage.
Review: I'm a user that doesn't have another experience with a GPS to compare it too, and I was happy with buying a GPS without all the bells and whistles while I got used to using a GPS. So, this review might be more helpful for those like me- people who aren't ...
