Touch screen is great and easy to use. Even my wife (non-techie to the max) was using it within a 1/2 hour of seeing it for the first time. The verbal prompts are very helpful for keeping you focused if you are in a city area where the turns come up quickly. The features are excellent. Point of Interests (restaurants, gas stations, etc) are configurable which is a great feature you can have as many or as few as you want turned on so it doesn't clutter your screen.
My only complaint with the system is actually with the maps. At least in the area where I live they appear to be about 3 yrs out of date. Several streets are missing. I expect this with private roads (subdivisions etc.) but many of these roads should be on there by now.
This unit is also compatible with the TomTom live Traffic update system (fee service) which can guide you on the quickest route around traffic problems.
So all in all I would definitely recommend the TOMTOM ONE XL GB Car GPS Receiver!
