Epinions Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - "................."

by  awoolcott, top reviewer in Games ,  Oct 31, 2000
Pros: Addictive, great soundtrack, great gameplay, just great great GREAT!
Cons: Addictive, life stealing, lame voices for skaters
Review: That title just about sums it up. Rarely do I play a game that leaves me completely speechless and at a loss for words (same thing), but Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (THPS from now on to prevent Carpal Tunnel) does just that. A concept so simple as a...

Epinions Skate better than a Pro cuz a pro can't do this many tricks!

by  yusakugo,  May 31, 2000
Pros: great graphics, cool point system, cool trick system, great levels, inspired two player competitions, rocking music
Cons: difficult to learn tricks to gain the high point totals (but then again, that's the point!)
Review: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a great game... I know some of you who remember games like 720 (I think it was from Atari) and wanted another skateboarding game to satisfy that craving. Tony Hawk isn't that simple and mindless as 720 but is a fairly deep and...

Epinions So I'm not a kid...I STILL love it!

by  moneymaker2000,  Aug 31, 2000
Pros: Great game, great graphics and always a new challenge!
Cons: Would love more levels!
Review: It's been a long time since a video game could hold my attention the way this game does. Not since the days of Atari have I had the desire to play much of anything associated with video games but this game is habit forming and should come with a warning...

Epinions Wow..I did a kickflip to Indy following a 50-50 grind!!!

by  kevlog,  Jan 23, 2001
Pros: Way too much fun for both kids and grownups...
Cons: I don't think "You Suck" should be in the graphics. Not an ego booster.
The Bottom Line: Get it, Play it, Love it, but limit younger kids' exposure to some of the negative punk tunes and swear words! Just my humble opinion as a Dad!
Review: I must say that when I bought my son Tony Hawk Pro Skater for Christmas I didn't think I'd end up as excited about playing it as he is, but it's true! This game is truly amazing. Like Coolboarders 3, another family favorite, this game needs to be played...

Epinions I Am Tony Hawk Pro Skater

by  PhoenixFlight,  Nov 7, 2000
Pros: Unreal Graphics
Cons: None
Review: Ollie into the next generation of game play with Tony and his friends while learning the difference between a front to nose grind and a kick flip to tail grind while you try to complete the games task’s. This game has it all, fantastic graphics, great...

Epinions Comparisons...Comparisons...

by  Plat_Ryda,  Nov 19, 2000
Pros: read the review
Cons: read the review
Review: Yes, I'm writing a review on the PlayStation version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, even though I already wrote one up on the Nintendo 64 version. Mainly, this will be comparisons between the two, but, included in the comparisons is an actual review on the...

Epinions HELP ME!! I CAN'T STOP PLAYING!!

by  fetco,  Nov 18, 2000
Pros: tons of tricks, good game play
Cons: split screen is hard to see out of on two player
Review: This game is very addictive. If you don't have a lot of time to play it you probably should not start because once you start to get the hang of it you probably will not want to stop playing. It's happened to everyone I've ever talked to who owns the...

Epinions One of My Favorites

by  SSTrunks1012,  Jun 3, 2001
Pros: cool graphics, many tricks, many characters to choose from
Cons: none really
The Bottom Line: Great game for any age. Enough to learn to keep you interested for long periods of time!
Review: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a skateboarding video game for Dreamcast, Playstation, and Nintendo64.(This opinion focuses on the Dreamcast version, though.) It is a one or two player game with a split screen (horizontal or vertical) when playing with a...

Epinions Skate like Tony Hawk....at least in the game.

by  swanton00, top reviewer in Games ,  Mar 17, 2001
Pros: Big levels, lots of tricks! Improve stats and earn new boards and levels!
Cons: Some tasks are very hard!
The Bottom Line: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is definitly a game for skateboarding fans, and even some non skate boarding fans. You'll have a lot of fun playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater!
Review: A few years ago, I always disliked skateboarding and thought it was boring. However, when I first played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, I started to like skateboarding a little. I never actually started skateboarding, but at least I had fun with this...

Epinions Hot stuff, baby.

by  punklikejules,  Oct 14, 2000
Pros: soo very much fun, rad tunes, cool concept
Cons: too easy
Review: As a former skateboarder, I have to say, this game has been the best thing ever to happen for the sport. Anyone can feel like a skateboarding pro, even if they have no balance or coordination.

In this game, you are given the option of playing...
