The Bottom Line: Great camera for the dollar amount. Durable and fast enough for those on the go.
Ever have those times where you wish you had your camera on hand fast? When as soon as you power your camera on the action is over?? Well with the Canon Power Shot, it takes only about two seconds to power up and only four seconds to zoom. It also has a built in light adjusted for those pictures that are in either bright light or dim light. The camera is an 8 mega-pixels, that gives sharp pictures. The Power Shot has a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens. The only con to this camera is that in between pictures it takes the flash a few seconds to recharge.
The batteries that the camera runs on, which are AA, will last up to four hundred shots. If you buy the re-chargable batteries I have gotten as many as five hundred shots out of it. The SD card slot is located inside the battery port.
The screen in 2.5" with easy to use buttons. The buttons on the camera are as follows: on and off button on top, mode button so that you can chose from many different shots also on top, top front is the zoom, selector button on the front next to the LCD screen that allows you to choose and select through the pictures taken.
Another neat thing with the camera is that there is a video mode on it. It taks about sixty minutes worth of video with a 2G memory card. Output jacks are provided with the camera. The camera does record in mono audio, so if you are trying to hook the camera up to listen to the sound there will not be any.
The camera is very light. You do not have to tote around a rather heavy and bulky camera bag and then use the neck strap. This camera is durable and light.
A few facts about the camera: the resolution of the camera can be set to 3264X2448. Widescreen can be set at 3264X1832, it is an 8mega-pixel, 19 different modes in which you can set the camera to take pictures with, has 6x optical zoom.
So all together this camera is a great buy. Easy to use, easy to carry.
