Pros: big 17" screen, runs cool, operates fast, bluetooth
Cons: standard superdrive only burns DVD at 2x, new displays are expensive
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a fast, dependable laptop, find a used model in good shape and splurge for the great video.

Pros: Reliable hardware, compatible with the latest software from Apple and most other vendors.
Cons: Slow DVD-R drive and relatively slow bus speed by latest standards.
The Bottom Line: Great laptop. Easy to use. Reliable operation. I'd recommend even a used model as this PowerBook G4 provides some advanced niceties even modern laptops lack and remains reliable today.

I've owned this Apple PowerBook G4 17" laptop (1.33 GHz model) with 1 GB of RAM, 80 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, and SuperDrive for over a year and a half. I've never had any hardware problems with this unit. Original battery life was around 3.5 hours...
