Never again

Pros: It was cheap. $58.68 at Wal-Mart.

Cons: Poor design, useless settings for defrosting, etc. They never did what they were supposed to.

Review: I bought my first compact microwave when just out of college in the mid 70s. It lasted until 2002--I kid you not. When it finally died, I bought the newest version of the same model and have essentially hated it ever since. This one only lasted 7...

Pros: Nice design, easy to use, cooks evenly, minute plus, soften

Cons: presets unreliable, a bit loud

The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a smaller, easy to use, inexpensive microwave that gets the job done, then I recommend the R209kk

Review: My microwave is the Sharp r209kk. Based on Rebbecaa's description I believe this is the same microwave-perhaps a more current model. The microwave depicted on the page is not in anyway the r209. The r209 is black and sleek. It is also digital.
