Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones: Excellent Headphones at a Reasonable Price

Pros: excellent sound; really comfortable; look nice; relatively inexpensive
Cons: will the plastic hold up long-term? is the bass shelved down?
The Bottom Line:

I recommend these headphones without reservation. They are comfortable, provide good isolation, and sound great.

Trade one bad noise for another

Pros: Comes with a nice carrying pouch. Includes an airplane adapter.
Cons: Slightly deadens external sounds while adding a constant hiss.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: The Sennheiser PXC250 headphones are so bad I would not use them if they were free, and I will be returning the pair that I bought. I wanted to be able to shut out sounds like people at work and lawnmowers at home. I have not tried either of those...

If you do a lot of air travel, these are a Godsend

Pros: Blocks out background noise, good battery life (~40 hours)
Cons: Not as portable or as "carefree" as standard headphones.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for headphones that will make your flights more pleasant, these offer the best bang for the buck in their category.
