I was bought the fuji finepix s5800 for a gift. My old camera (another finepix) had finally died after 5 years. The picture quality is incredible and as mentioned above all the fine pix are really easy to use. Even simple things like no flash etc...

Pros: Excellent picture quality, wide variety of modes, good zoom
Cons: Bulky, cheap anti shake, some purple fringes in photos, no RAW

I have owned the Fujifilm S5800 for several months now, and it has proven itself to be a resilient and high quality camera. It has several modes, including shutter priority, aperture priority, and manual which allows manual setting of shutter speeds...

Pros: Easy to use, yet manual settings also for more advanced user.
Excellent quality lens.
Cons: Proprietary battery and memory.
The Bottom Line: A very good camera for novice and enthusiast, at a very reasonable price. Great value and quality for the money.
