Choose the correct interface to connect your drive to your computer. Internal systems will mostly use IDE interface. Professional systems can use higher quality interface, such as SCSI. Stand-alone portable drives will mostly be either USB or (faster) Firewire. Most importantly, make sure the interface you choose is compatible with your computer.
