Elegant and dry at the beginning, it displays a woody-floral blend with dark nuances and spicy hints. It gradually reveals its beautifully intricate texture: sweet, velvety and slightly metallic flowers on warm, balsamic, but also dry and very austere woods: two main "axes", each of which includes different facets that are perceived during the evolution. The flowers range from the darkness of rose and jasmine, to the lighter shades of lily and cyclamen; the same goes for the woods, which include nuances ranging from sandalwood ("juicy", sweet, bright and welcoming) to the drier and more shadowy notes of rosewood and cedar, with some added weight thanks to cloves, leather and nutmeg. A touch of amber and vanilla gives a sweet and warm "roundness". Overall, Ducalis could also appeal to lovers of oud perfumes, but with a Western version.
