The function of insect blood cells has long puzzled scientists. This much-needed volume first published in 1979 attempts to explain the forms and functions of insect hemocytes creating a solid basis from which work in the field may proceed. Insect Hemocytes had its origins in a symposium held at the XV International Congress of Entomology (1976). It is a coherent presentation whose contributors were some of the most eminent specialists in the field. Language: English
