For GM vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, a Sensor Relearn Procedure must be performed after tire rotation remote lock receiver module or tire pressure sensor replacement. This relearning process can be performed using the special tool EL-50448. Also applies to 2014 GM models Tire pressure sensors on 2012 and later models can only be read using certain designated diagnostic tools. Before the tire pressure monitoring system works normally, the body control module will record the ID information of each position in the tire pressure sensor; after replacing the tire or wheel speed sensor, use the following method to read the tire pressure sensor. For the specific method, please refer to the following: Step 1 - Enter the tilt mode and put the shift lever to After the learning is completed, the turn signal light will be on for 3 seconds and the horn will beep twice. For some equipped with tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system , after replacing the tire remote lock receiver module or replacing the tire pressure sensor, a sensor relearning procedure must be performed. This relearning procedure can be performed using the special tool 50448 Compatible Vehicles List: Charger and battery are not included in the package. For trucks and cars: Simple and cheap, but works well. Much better than going to a dealer or tire shop to reset the pressure sensor. I use it on my truck and my wifes and it only takes a few minutes to reset all four wheels. 2. Properly showing low battery display: I have never had my TP sensor programmed using the bleed method on my 2007 Tahoe. Before I had this tool, I only remembered which tire was which when I spun them, but no longer. Now I can reprogram them in seconds and the dashboard display correctly indicates which tire is low. This tool should come with the vehicle. 3. Easy to use: The operation of this product is simple and clear. As mentioned, spending that much just to spin the tires is hardly exciting, but considering how much a dealer would charge, it wouldnt take many service visits to pay for the unit. As far as working, it does exactly what it says it does without drama. Put the vehicle in reset mode and press the button on the unit as instructed in the owners manual. 4. I cant believe I need a special tool to spin my tires. As far as I understand 2010 (2011) and older vehicles, you can use any large magnet to reset your tire pressure sensor. 2011 (2012) and at least my 2013 Silverado you need one of these gadgets. This works like a champ, the one I found referenced through the GM website. 5. GM Coverage: The deflation method is only validated on a Chevrolet Volt 2011 using the El-50448 TPMS relearn tool and I can program 4 TPMSs in less than a minute. El-50448 can program TPMS in GM 2010-2013.
