diptyque Geranium Odorata EDT is a unisex floral eau de toilette. Geranium naturally reveals a bouquet with floral facets, of rose, with light nuances of lemon. The originality of the Geranium Odorata fragrance is given by the association of the flower with woods. In the composition of this fragrance, two varieties of geranium were used: the bourbon geranium, from plantations on the island of Reunion, and the African geranium, from Egypt. The essential oil of geranium is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and stems before flowering. For the bourbon geranium, the yield in essence is 1 kg for 600 kg of raw material: approximately 30 kg of essence are obtained per hectare and per year. In Reunion, the plantations, which are located in particular in the west between 800 and 1000 metres above sea level, give three harvests a year, the best of which is obtained in the hot and rainy season, between January and March, followed by the cutting which takes place between June and October.
