diptyque L'Ombre dans l'Eau EDP is a unisex floral eau de parfum. In her garden, Mrs Merwin, a friend of the creators of diptyque, cut down the cassis and rose bushes to add the petals of the latter to her pot pourri. The combination of cassis leaves and rose petals was the inspiration for one of the most famous fragrances of diptyque. This fragrance was developed in 1983; the top notes are characterized by the Bulgarian rose to which are added the green notes of the cassis leaves, which give it a pleasant freshness. The shadows of its name are balanced by the freshness, reminiscent of a lush garden by the water's edge.
