Used spool. It looks to have a flat spot on one side. This may affect the function or it may not. It cleared the rotor on an HC3dl with no issues but I do not have an HC3 to test it on. Years ago I used to collect fishing reels/lots to repair or use for parts for others. I don’t have time for that anymore and teenagers eat lot of groceries.
