Stanley 83-068 Heavy Duty 6” Bench Vice Requires Jaws I picked this up with the intention of giving it a complete strip and refurbish as it is such a heavy duty vice. When I came to do I noticed 3 out of the 4 vice mounting screws are snapped flush and would need repairing. It got me to thinking if someone wanted to make their own customs jaws or just buy some generic ones then the mounting holes could be drill anywhere. So all I did was stripped the swivel base and got that moving and made sure the vice itself moves freely and it now does. Now it’s up to you. Just under 6 wide on the jaw mount and has a great additional tube grab v’s under the main jaws. Just wants a good wire brushing to get the surface rust off and then a paint…or not
