Latham Enamel Normal Flux T200 15gm transparent enamel Multiuse

This normal enamel flux is used as a base for Copper and Silver. Enamel flux, or transparent enamel, can be used for several purposes during the enamelling process. It is most commonly used as an undercoat on enamelled pieces before applying coloured enamels, to ensure the colours remain vibrant and do not begin to react with metal oxides during firing, which can cause colours to appear dull. It can also be used as a final top coat layer to add depth to an enamelled design or to prevent a particularly reactive colour from darkening under additional firing. Clear flux can also be used as a base for cloisonné enamelling techniques, used to set cloisonné wires in place on your metal without the use of solder.
