The loco is in its own pull out 'loco box sized' poly tray within the set, so if you want to take the loco out and have a suitably sized Hornby loco box, then you can do just that. This Irish Railways, CIE livery train set is possibly a Hornby/Tri-ang Hornby pre-production set, but we don't know for sure.
