Just got a pair of replacement woofers for my Mackie hr824’s and figured these may be of use to somebody. I replaced as these have a “crunchy” sound when manually pressed in and out and I’ve had intermittent, but persistent bass distortion. Presumably as a result. Some splits as shown to the outer of the speaker cone. Maybe you can recon if you know how, maybe they are just heavy paperweights! I have since traced part of my problem on one speaker to a dirty switch on the amplifier, however when I removed these there was a lot of oxidation around one of the magnets and they should not make the crunchy sound when compressed. These are quite rare as I believe you can’t buy new anymore.
