Vintage back pack fishing box stool. This dates back to the 1970's. I can't remember the brand but it could be Efgeeco. Looking a bit tatty but functional however I've seen many times folk who have something of a collectors corner come man cave with such items! Still functional though!!! I don't remember there ever being a hard flat base fitted internally but there must have been so that would be a recommendation is a piece of thin plywood cut to fit and it would rest across the base, just a thought.
