The AT-VM95ML is equipped with a bare microlinear diamond, which ensures twice as long a service life thanks to its special cut and the lower distortion at the end of the record (inner grooves) typical of line contact needles and at the same time has an extended frequency response and a better resolution of the medium and high frequencies. Even the best diamond needle wears out over time - conical needles after about 500 hours, elliptical needles after 300 hours, microlinear needles after 1000 hours and Shibata needles after around 800 hours. For this reason, we designed our VM95 series dual moving magnet pickups so that the styli can be interchanged and the pickup itself can be used almost unlimitedly. If the stylus is worn out, you don't need to buy a new pickup, just the right replacem.
