The production run for the DCD-800NE was between 2018 and 2021. The understated, minimalist design belies a wealth of technical upgrades over the comparable DCD-720AE model. It is factory fitted with a Hi-Res Burr Brown PCM1795 DAC (32-Bit / 192kHz Digital to Analogue Converter) and besides conventional CDs it can play CD-R/RW discs.
