A lovely miniature portrait painting on paper of a pretty young Biedermeier era lady wearing a tall top hat, Initialed/dated 1843 and likely Austrian. This unusual portrait is well rendered and ready for display! Several collector/dealer labels present on the back. The painting is in good condition for age with light toning, light wear from handling, hairline crease near center, small slight abrasion to paper surface near cheek, etc. Painting is housed in a giltwood frame, some gilt loss seen.
