Lens is working and compatible with older/higher Nikon digital cameras that have a built in body motor. Also compatible with Nikon film cameras The outside is sticky, this can be cleaned effectively with isopropyl alcohol or similar solvent The optics are not completely clear but the lens is still functional and gives good photos priced accordingly please don't expect a perfect lens
