The ED (extra-dispersive) glass is a great feature which essentially eliminates chromatic abberation. I used it only for visual astronomy. It’s great for the planets due to its exceptional contrast (especially more challenging targets such as Mars and Uranus which also benifit from the extra light/apperture).
