The unit has sat unused in a box for about 20 years. At the time of putting it away it was fully operational with no issues whatsoever. It comes complete with mains power supply and 6v nicad rechargeable battery. The unit powers up and can charge the battery ( currently with 6v charge). It can load disks but sometimes fails to eject them. Intermittent reads disk correctly and plays tracks but other times fails to load or plays but no sound on the headphone output. The mains adapter alone sells for around £90 on ebay. Selling as a project for someone more knowledgeable who can take it to bits and make it more reliable.
