A hydraulic clutch release bearing is a component of a car's clutch system. It is located at the end of the clutch lever and is responsible for the pressure on the clutch pressure plate. The hydraulic bearing is operated by clutch fluid, which is contained in a reservoir located under the hood of the car. When the driver presses the clutch pedal, clutch fluid is pumped into the hydraulic thrust bearing, which pushes the clutch lever and clutch pressure plate. This disengages the engine and gearbox, allowing the driver to change gears.
