Vintage 1972 Martin D35 OEM Black PICKGUARD, Ready to Install
It is an OEM part, and was used for 40 years before I carefully removed it in 2012 in favor of a Greven Tor-Tis 'guard. The pickguard is not at all brittle and still has adequate flex to allow a proper professional installation.
