This cap has 2 jobs, it drives the speedo cable so if your speedo isn't working it could be that the square hole has rounded. Also it keeps the grease in the bearing and stops dirt and grit getting into the bearing. We also sell the right grease cap in the Wolfsburg Restos ebay shop.
