The show follows the lives of the Mitchell family Henry, Alice, and their only child, Dennis. He often tangles with peace-and-quiet-loving neighbor, George Wilson. Dennis (Jay North) is essentially a good boy who always wants to be right in the middle of whatever's going on in his suburban neighborhood and has an insatiable desire to "help" his friends and neighbors.
