The inhabitants of Stockholm who had gathered on the banks of the sea to greet the inaugural journey, were witnesses of the catastrophe: after bending on the side, the vessel disappeared in the waters of the port. The ship, later recovered, is currently on display in the Navy Museum in Stockholm.
