Beautiful antique Japanese Kutani hand-painted miniature vase, dating from the late Meiji to early Taishō period (c. 1890–1920). The vase features a scalloped organic rim and fine enamel decoration in red, gold, and multicolor enamels with a bird-and-flower motif. The base is unglazed with natural kiln marks, typical of hand-finished Meiji-period porcelain. A charming example of early Japanese export art in miniature form.
