A pair of late 19th century green majolica dessert plates. Most probably English as this pattern was commonly produced in the latter part of the 19th century in England by many potteries. It is not stamped so it is unlikely to be Wedgwood. One plate has a large chip, seen most clearly on the reverse, but still displays well. The other plate is in good condition. Reverse sides show the typical three pin marks from the firing process Probably late 19th century c 1880 Diameter 19.5 cm, 7 and 3/4 inches
