Francis J. Grund- ALS from 1841 about a German Log Cabin
(1805-63). Author and diplomat. Born in Bohemia, he settled in Philadelphia. In addition to writing books, he was editor of the Philadelphia Age and a U.S. diplomat to Belgium and the southern German states.
