B&S gear tooth vernier. This had been stored in the damp and got rusty, luckily the anvils and scales were not badly affected. I have stripped and cleaned this in a chemical deruster, which should help prevent it rusting again (provided it is stored in the dry). I then carefully oiled and rebuilt it. There are some rough patches (see photos), but it functions nicely. As far as I can tell the vernier scales measure correctly, the jaws measure 0-0 whien closed and the depth stop was checked against a 0.1" slip. Obviously price reflects this condition, I would happily use it but I already have one.
