The curtain valance is attached using standard curtain hooks. You can then hang your curtain valance on the rail. You can then put the valance rail into the valance brackets. The valance brackets are available in either 90mm (3 1/2”) or 150mm (6”) projection depending on how far you need to push the valance rail out.
