This stylus is brand new and ready to go - it was an oversight purchase, as the new cartridge I bought at the same time already came with one 🤷🏼♂️ This was bought on here from a reputed company, and I left it way too long to even consider asking for a refund. The stylus comes in its original box, and is cased within a solid plastic mould, as shown. In addition, the stylus tip is housed within a further plastic protective piece 👍
