This is a beautiful antique 925 sterling silver and paste (glass) citrine brooch. It was made by Charles Horner and is stamped on the reverse with his initials mark CH and a full Chester silver hallmark for 1911. The brooch is made in Art Nouveau style with an entwined sinewy frame around two Scottish thistles, each set with a paste citrine representing the flower. In very good antique condition and fastens with a pin and a C clasp. The pin is a little slack and, if the brooch is to be worn rather than just collected, it would be safer to add a security chain. Measures approx 1.2" x 0.7". Weighs 3 grams.
