This matching pair features a classic two-tone design with a dark brown unglazed base and contrasting speckled glazed upper sections, one in grey and one in yellow. Both bowls have a smooth white glazed interior and a chunky side handle, reflecting the rustic, minimalist aesthetic popular in mid-century ceramics. Unmarked examples like these were commonly produced in Japan or England and are stylistically similar to designs by makers such as Denby and Purbeck Pottery.
