Discrete GPU Issue (Radeongate) Once failed, the machine typically has issues booting and often exhibits display glitches if it does boot. Just complete the setup screens and its ready to go. It could be upgraded to Catalina if you don't need 32bit support, but (IMPORTANT) this would need to be done carefully to avoid indavertently reactiviating the failed GPU.
