Other growers germinate seeds under mist in a greenhouse in which the air is already humid. A 2:1 or 3:1 mixture of perlite (or vermiculite) and peat will do nicely. Seeds need to be removed from their fruits and scarred either by chipping the seed coat with a knife or rubbing the seed coat with a le or sandpaper, being careful not to apply too much pressure.
