He does move his mouth. Requires 6 AA batteries. When I put batteries in, he made sounds but I couldn't tell what the sounds were. It could be that my batteries were not all at full capacity. Maybe there is something wrong with the sound box. I don't know. He is a little dirty from being in storage Please see pics for dimensions and detail
