19th Century Brass Banded Pewter Measure Quart James Yates

Early/ Mid 19th Century Pint measure in pewter with brass rim edge. This has assay stamp around the top up with the makers name James Yates and the size stamp. James Yates was well known to operate in the early 1800 up until about 1840. These would have been used to check on pub measures, the brass rim gives a hard solid edge, not for drinking out of. Hard pewter body ,like steel but not magnetic. Measures 6" tall. I have a half pint and pint measure similar to this one also listed. Good condition, dirty and well used but no damage beyond age related wear. Small bump to the bottom edge, not bad for over 200 years of life. Heavy.
