This is a wonderful primitive 18th to early 19th century iron candle spike. It is all hand forged and an earlier than often see example. It was made without a chair tab, and was an early piece that was simply driven into a beam to hold a candle. It measures 7 1/4 inches long. The spike was purchased with the candle in it, and so will be sold with the candle, though it is a bit too fat for the candle cup. The spike is in excellent condition with great honest patina, , the candle has a split. Buyer pays shipping.
