Moonstone belongs to the large mineral family of feldspars. Moonstone is the most valuable form of feldspar, it is composed of albite, which gives it the bluish sheen, and orthoclase feldspar. It is an opalescent stone which can range from colorless to blue, green, peach, pink, brown, yellow or gray with a silvery sheen.
