It's made of silver powder coated mild steel with solid Beech wood slats. All wooden slats are made of hard wood. The wood slats are excluded from the 12 month warranty. Like most wood products they will require regular maintenance to keep them in good condition with a suitable outdoor wood stain or oil based waterproof preserver.
