It can be used with all of DeWalt's 54v Flexvolt batteries which have the added benefit that they can be used to power the smaller DeWalt 18v XR cordless power tools aswell. Being battery powered, it requires less maintenance than a petrol chainsaw, and has an auto-oiling system for keeping the chain lubricated automatically.
